Villa Mandalina is a
large 3/4 bedroom villa with the most amazing unobstructive views of
Kalkan and its beautiful bay. It is located on a peaceful hillside
with mountain backdrop. There are a handful of cafes and shops
within 200m with Kalkan a 4 minute drive away.
Kalkan is a beautiful old fishing village that has developed
into a tourist resort without losing any of its many charms. Its
quaint,traditional,white-washed houses,shuttered windows and
balconies garlanded with brilliant flowers that cascade to the
cobbled streets below make it the ultimate in a peaceful holiday
town. There is a lovely small beach in Kalkan, the beautiful Kaputas
is a 5 minutes drive and 20 mins away is the famous Patara beach,
20km of pure white sand and home to the logger head turtle.As the
sun sets it is Kalkan style to meet up on the many roof top terraces
for a drink before dinner and enjoy the comings and goings of the
evening and the panoramic views. |

The villa has 3 good size air-conditioned
rooms all with fantastic sea views. On the top floor there is large
bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with small bath and shower.
A door leads to the large rooftop terrace with views of the famous
Patara beach and Kalkan bay. The terrace is ideal for evening dining.
The middle floor has 2 good size rooms 1 with double bed and 1 with
twin beds. Both have balconies with sea views. There is a large
family bathroom with bath and shower. Come out of the bedrooms and
you enter a large open landing area which overlooks the lounge area
and has again more views of the bay.Walk down the marble spiral
staircase and you come into a very spacious well decorated lounge
and dining area with feature fire place. The lounge has a 3 and 2
seater sofa and 2 arm chairs with double glazed sliding doors to the
pool . The dining area has a 6 seater dining table that extends to 8
places. Again there are sliding doors to the pool. In the corner
there is a television with DVD player. There is also a further
bathroom with a shower. The open plan kitchen has a washing machine
and larder fridge freezer. The cooker has 4 gas hobs with grill and
oven. The kitchen is fully equiped for your every need. There is a
4th small room downstairs with sofa bed that could be used for
children.
Outside there is a garden area with terraced flower beds and
a large private pool that overlooks the wonderful bay. |

There are may things to do in
and around the Kalkan area.You can chill out on one of the many boat
trips that take you around the bays and islands. A whole day out
swimming,diving all for around £10 including lunch.Visit the famous
Patara beach with 20km of pure white sand. here you will have plenty
of room to yourself without being crammed in like other beaches.There
are many ancient ruins to vist in the area including the sunken city
off Kekova island. There are walking and horse riding tours to be
enjoyed where you can take in the breathtaking scenery at a more
leisurely pace. One particular favourite is the canoe trip down the
Xanthos river and through the Patara national park with a BBQ for
lunch.See the turtles along the river bank and swim in the river,great
fun for all.There is the Saklikent gorge, the longest and deepest in
Turkey.Walk along the canyon and marvel at the extraordinary
limestone walls soaring high above you. There is also diving,paragliding,jeep
safari and many other excursions that make Kalkan a great holiday
destination for every age. |
