The company

Phoenix  was  formed 10 years ago by two official government guides.  Their aim was and still is,  to  offer  day trips and tours privately and for small groups and holiday accommodation in the Kalkan and Fethiye areas.  We started in a small way with local trips and as demand became apparent,  we began longer trips to places like Pamukkale,  Capodoccia and Konya and started a tailor-made tour service.  Nowadays we are also involved in villa construction,  renovation and maintenance and offer car hire and transfers.

Mehmet Ali Özdemir

Mehmet Ali was born in Gazaniantep in Eastern Turkey.  He first came to Kalkan about fifteen years ago.  He fell in love with the place and decided to stay.  He qualified as an official government guide ten years ago and has worked extensively in tourism.

Eyup Özdemir

Eyup is Mehmet Ali’s brother.   He attended Ankara University and studied archaeology . He has worked as a guide for the last three years and has recently qualified as an Official Government Guide. 

Christine Özdemir

Mehmet Ali’s wife Christine comes from the UK where she specialised in business information and her last role was for the world’s oldest property publication “The Estates Gazette”.  She first came to Kalkan about ten years ago and amongst other things ran a hotel for several years .
